Hillsboro, Ind. - Mrs. Oma Leach Cooper, 98, of Sarasota, Fla., a former resident of Hillsboro, died at noon Thursday (Oct. 18, 1973) at Hillhaven Convalescent Center there. Born Feb. 12, 1875, in Floyd County, Ind., she was the daughter of Frank and Cynthia Leach. She was married to Marlin Cooper, who died in 1926. Mrs. Cooper attended Odon schools and was a member of the former EUB Church in Coalmont. She moved to Florida from Hillsboro about three and a half years ago. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Carol Myer of Sarasota, Fla.; three grandsons, Gary Myer of Sarasota, Cameron and B. J. Burns, both of Crawfordsville; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three daughters, a brother and two great-granddaughters. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home. The Rev. Dorman Winger will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. HILLSBORO – Mrs. Oma Leach Cooper, 98, of Sarasota, Fla., formerly of Hillsboro, died Thursday noon in Hillhaven Convalescent Center at Sarasota. Mrs. Cooper had moved from here to Sarasota 3½ years ago. She attended School at Odon and was a member of the former EUB Church at Coalmont. She was born on Feb. 12, 1875, in Floyd County, a daughter of Frank and Cynthia Leach. She married Marlin Cooper, who died in 1926.
